Yesterday, my cousin Stacy, Tiffany P, and myself headed up to Champaign. We picked out a tentative dress at David's Bridal. Honestly, the dress looked fabulous on both girls. BUT, it doesn't come in the champagne color so I'm not 100% sure on the dress. But, it did give us some guidelines on what kind of style works for every body shape. I am CONFIDENT that we will find THE dress tomorrow.
Later that afternoon we went to Michael's and got a great deal on some thick glass candle holder thingies - too hard to explain. Then, we conquered Hobby Lobby. We decided on 2 different centerpieces. 1st one: topiary ball that will be covered w/ red roses and potted in teracata pots that I will paint black. We actually made one of these yesterday at the store so we'd know how many roses to buy. 2nd centerpiece: A large square piece of glass w/ black and white photos of us under it w/ the thick glass candle holder and a pillar candle on top. It will also be very cute. I have tons of votive cup holders that either I bought or people are letting me borrow that I will take to CandleArt to have filled, and there will also be rose petals on the tables. I hope you can get a visual. I will try to bring the stuff tomorrow so everyone can see it. WE ALSO got just about all the flowers for our bouquets - we are short 20 stems but I will try to find a hobby lobby for us to go to tomorrow to pick up the rest of them. We did sooo awesome yesterday and spent VERY little! :-)
***SHOUT OUT TO TIFFANY P AND STACY! YOU TWO SAVED ME SO MUCH TIME AND STRESS OVER THE DECORATIONS! YOU MADE IT ALMOST TOO EASY FOR ME!***
They also calmed me down when I got overwhelmed over the corsages for the moms, grandma's, and other women. Let's face it these women have to wear the corsage all day so they should look fabulous and I just couldn't figure out something good enough. I will have Ginny S come up with these. :-)
